High Spirits Harmony is celebrating after taking out an SA/NT singing trophy for the second time.

HSH won the Open Chorus Memorial Shield in the Barbershop Harmony Australia Central Region competition in only its second venture into the competition.

The perpetual shield was introduced in 2015 for the runner-up in the Open (men’s and women’s) section of the competition. High Spirits Harmony won the trophy that year, and then took a year out to compete in other events before returning to the BHA competition this year.

As well as winning the trophy, the group scored highest in the “Invitation” – or women’s – section of the competition.

President of High Spirits Harmony, Alice Norman, said: “I am so proud of our singing group. We work hard to continue to grow and improve; and this has been reflected, once again, in our win at competition.”
